    What rate of gratuity should we leave at the character buffet meals? Usually I don't leave as much tip at buffet restaurants. Also can we swap a TS meal for a QS meal on the DDP? Thank you!!

    Hi Lindsey!

    Gratuities can be somewhat of a personal preference.  I can tell you when we dine at the Character Experience meals with buffets, we tend to tip around 15 percent of the meal cost or greater if the service we receive is outstanding (which it typically is).  Parties of six or more will be automatically charged an 18 percent gratuity.

    Unfortunately, the official policy for the Disney Dining Plan does not allow guests to trade table-service meals for quick-service meals and vice versa.  Credits must be used as originally purchased.
