Can the rapid refill mugs be reactivated for a fee on a future visit?

    Hi Colleen!

Yes, you can bring a old refillable mug to use as long as it is a Disney Rapid Fill RFID mug from a previous trip and as long as the RFID chip is still working--make sure that the mug hasn't been heated in a microwave or dishwasher which would destroy the RFID chip.  I just asked if these mugs can be reloaded on a recent trip to Walt Disney World and the answer was "yes" (you could add one or two days at $3.00 a day). Keep in mind that I was only given the option of adding one or two days to my existing Rapid Fill Mug which wasn't enough for me as I was staying for 6 days on that particular trip. The current Rapid FIll Mug prices which includes the purchase of a new Rapid Fill Mug as I am answering your question are: 1 day-$8.99, 2 days-$11.99, 3 days-$14.99, or length of stay-$17.99. If you bring an old style refillable mug that does not have the RFID chip then it will not work in the new Disney Rapid Fill system at all.  Depending on your length of stay, it may be more cost effective just to purchase a new Disney Rapid Fill mug.  You can always use your mugs as souvenirs like I do when I am at home (I have coffee in mine every morning and it always make me smile).

I hope that your next Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical in every way!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
