Greetings Dennis!
Welcome to
planDisney! Thanks for stopping by to discuss your upcoming jolly holiday to the
Most Magical Place on Earth. December will be here before you
snow it, so let's get rolling!
The electronic conveyance vehicles
(ECVs) available for rent at the Walt Disney World theme parks can hold a charge for about 12 hours - close to your entire day, depending on when you arrive. I recently traveled with a friend using a scooter, and he only needed to recharge overnight at our resort. If you need to plug in during your theme park visit, you'll find outlets at most quick-service restaurants and outside restrooms. Ask a Cast Member if you have trouble finding a place to charge, and they'll direct you to the nearest location.
Since in-park ECV rentals at the theme parks are first come, first served, consider renting from an offsite company to avoid stressing over availability. Disney's preferred third-party provider, ScooterBug, will leave your equipment with
Bell Services until you can retrieve it. Return your ECV to Bell Services at the end of your stay, and ScooterBug will handle the rest. If you think it would be helpful to have a scooter for traveling around your resort and trekking to and from transportation, renting from an offsite company is a great option.
I hope this is helpful, Dennis, and that you have a very merry vacation next month. Please reach out if we can make your trip even more special or if you need guidance regarding
holiday offerings (there is so much extra magic this time of year!). Thanks again for visiting planDisney; we look forward to welcoming you "home" soon!
Happy holidays,
Betsy
