It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Kathryn!
You must be a vacation planning expert because all the insiders know that there's a hidden royal guest suite inside
Cinderella Castle at
Magic Kingdom Park that is not open to the public. You may have seen photos of the luxurious apartment that's complete with stained glass windows, a grand fireplace, and a bathtub that is out of a fairy tale. A little over 10 years ago there was a promotion called the "Year of a Million Dreams" where Disney Cast Members made a million dreams come true for randomly selected guests. This included things as simple as a complimentary meal or free
PhotoPass pictures all the way up to
Disney Vacation Club membership contracts and transatlantic sailings on
Disney Cruise Line! A few lucky guests even got the chance to stay inside that exclusive Cinderella Castle Suite for a night, but after that promotion ended in 2008, it has been very rare for anyone to stay there. I have seen one-night stays auctioned and raffled off for charity organizations before, but other than that it is one of the most elusive experiences at the top of a lot of people's Disney bucket lists!
With all that being said, you truly never know what kind of magic is in store for you at Walt Disney World Resort, and it happens when you least expect it. I have seen Cast Members go truly above and beyond for guests and I've been lucky enough to have some of that pixie dust sprinkled on me too, so approach your visit and the people you meet while you're there with a friendly spirit and an open heart so you can experience the magic in all of its forms!
Have a magical day, Kathryn!
