Ahoy there, Angela! As a halal eater myself, I understand how important it is to find halal meals when traveling. I’m ecstatic to report that Disney Cruise Line has PLENTY of halal options, and it's one of the reasons my family loves sailing with Captains Mickey and Minnie so often! The infamous Disney Cruise Line chicken tenders? I can confirm that they’re both delicious and can be available as a halal option!
At this time, to
request halal dining on your Disney cruise, you will need to take the following steps:
- If you’re on the website, scroll down to “Special Requests". If using the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, click “Next Steps/View All” and then scroll down to “Special Requests and Special Services”. Then, click “Make Special Requests”.
- Click “Dietary Preferences” and then "Halal". Once selected, you will get the option to request this for all guests in your stateroom.
- Click “Save” and you’re all set! Halal Disney Cruise Line chicken tenders coming your way (subject to availability)!
I recommend calling Disney Cruise Line afterwards, to ensure the request went through, as it must be made at least 35 days prior to your sail date. If your sail date is upcoming—as I see that your arrival date is very soon—you should call Disney Cruise Line to ask if halal dining can be made available during your cruise.
In my experience, halal dining is available during Rotational Dining, adult-dining experiences, Quick-Service locations on the pool decks, Room Service, and during our BBQ lunch at both Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point! If booking adult-dining experiences, once onboard, I suggest reminding the restaurant of your halal request at least 24 hours ahead of your reservation. When phoning in Room Service, ask if halal options are available, and the team will let you know.
Please remember that halal requests are subject to availability. I suggest speaking with your Dining Team during dinner on the first night of your cruise with any specific requests. For example, my daughter is partial to those chicken tenders (as is her mama), so I always ask if they can be made halal for her throughout the duration of our sailing. Our Head Server lets me know if it’s possible and where on our cruise I can find them.
Angela, I hope you have a magical cruise and make many delectable memories! Please sail back to planDisney if you have any other questions.
Bon Voyage,
Rana
