Hi there, Summar! Welcome to planDisney!
Aaahhh, I’m SO excited that you and your kiddos are headed to Walt Disney World Resort this week! What a perfect week it’s already shaping up to be! I bet you’re deep in the planning and packing stages of your trip. Personally, this is one of my favorite parts of a Disney vacation, but I also know that it can be a bit stressful wanting to make sure that all the dots are connected (and I’m not just referring to Minnie’s polka dots!).
I know that one major part of planning a great Walt Disney World Resort vacation is getting those park days in order, especially any attractions you’d like to visit. Therefore, I’d be happy to guide you in using Lightning Lane Premier Pass during your visit to a Walt Disney World Theme Park.
Lightning Lane Premier Pass really is a dream come true for saving time and getting to as many must-visit attractions as possible! Just like my friend Peter Pan says, "It's easier than pie!" After purchasing it for the park you will be visiting, you’re able to visit each attraction there once during that day. There’s no pre-booking of attractions, and no pre-choosing of time slots required because you can ride whatever you want, whenever you want! To sign in to each attraction once you're in the Disney World theme park, scan either your
MagicBand+ or Disney MagicMobile pass at the Lightning Lane entrance of each attraction. See what I mean–easier than pie! Just like Peter Pan, you'll be thinking, "Watch me now—here I go!" at each attraction you'll be visiting!
Based on your question, I’ll also share how to use Lightning Lane Multi Pass, just in case. This pass requires you to pre-book 3 attractions using the My Disney Experience App, and then book another after you’ve enjoyed the first attraction. If you’re staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, you can choose your first 3 experiences 7 days ahead of the first day of your Resort stay. If you’re not staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, you can choose your first 3 experiences 3 days ahead of the first day of your ticket. On the day of your Walt Disney World Theme Park visit, you’ll scan into your chosen Lightning Lane Multi Pass attractions the same way as Lightning Lane Premier Pass, and then choose another attraction after completing one. So, yes, for Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you would book 1 new attraction after completing 1 of the first 3 you had booked.
I have one more tip, and that’s if you’re trying to filter which attractions your kiddos can ride, you can filter them by height in the
My Disney Experience App. In the app, click the park you’re visiting in the “Locations” section. Then, click “Attractions” and “Height”. Now, you're able to filter the attractions so that they only include the attractions that are suitable for your kids' heights. This is one of my favorite ways to make sure that all the guests in my group can ride the attraction ahead of time. Since you have their exact heights already, half the job is already done here, so kudos to you!
Summar, thank you for stopping by and visiting me with your question! I hope I provided clarification on Lightning Lane Premier Pass and made your planning easier. If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to come back to planDisney! I wish you and your family the most magical and memorable vacation ahead!
You’ve Got a Friend in Me,
