Just ran marathon and looking at running TOT & marathon again next year. In light of the recent sellout of races @ DL do you think that this is the new norm? Or is it just bc it was a new race?

Hi Stefanie!

Wow! Yes, the Disneyland Half races sold out in record time this year. I do believe it was because of all the excitement generated with the new 10K race and Dumbo Double Dare Challenge. New races typically sell out faster. Last year's Tower of Terror 10-Miler sold out quickly since it was the inaugural race.

Disneyland races generally sell out faster, too, for a variety of reasons. There are less runners in them, more locals that run,etc.

Most runDisney races do eventually sell out, but never that quickly! Registration is usually open at least a month, and sometimes the races aren't full until a month or two before the event.
