Just ran my first half marathon, the Disney Princess Half. It was great! My Garmin (and a number of others) said the course was about 1/10th, 2/10th longer than 13.1, do you know the actual length? Was this a certified race?

Hi Alicia!  Congratulations on completing your first half marathon!  The Disney Princess Half is a great race!  The runDisney marathon and half-marathons are certified by USA Track and Field.  However, the course is designed to be exactly 13.1 miles.  Because of different running patterns, (bathroom stops, character stops, how you weave back and forth) it will be a little off on any GPS measuring device.  Mine often varies up to as much as .3 of a mile due to the fact that I have a tendency to veer off path to visit with my favorite Disney characters, and also journey into the woods when the porta-potty lines are a little too long!
I hope this helps and I hope to see you at the next runDisney event!
