    On a Rainy day does a park hopper pass help? Thanks

    Hey Veena-

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am so excited for your trip in a week. It will be an amazing adventure of sights, sounds, smells and thrills all delivered by the master of hosts, Mickey Mouse.

    The best advice I can give you is to pack a poncho (not an umbrella) for rainy times (also for water attractions). Of course, you may purchase a Mickey poncho at any theme park. When it rains at Walt Disney World theme parks many of the outdoor attractions will continue to run until there is lightening. Lightening is a safety hazard. Indoor attractions, merchandise locations and restaurants will quickly fill up when the rain hits. Park hopping will not make your experience better because the theme parks are uncovered.  Many guests will leave during the rain to return to their resorts and you will notice thinner crowds after the rain stops. I recommend you stay in the theme park to eat, shop and attend the indoor attractions. Hey maybe even just play in the puddles like my kids do. Last summer it rained everyday during our June trip and we still had a blast. You will too.
