If it rains the entire trip (which the weather is looking that way) :( is there anything to do at the resort indoors other than the arcade? Staying at the Polynesian.

    Hi Ashley,

Well, it is almost the rainiest month of the year in Florida - June! However, I will tell you, from experience, that while rain is highly likely during the summer months, sometimes it is just a shower, quickly followed by sunshine.

Disney's Polynesian Resort does have an arcade that is a great escape at the resort to come in out of the rain. You could also head to Captain Cook's and treat yourself to a delicious DoleWhip. This is a frosty treat that will surely beat the rainy day blues.

If you are up to leaving the resort, Downtown Disney offers some great indoor options like DisneyQuest, Splitsville Luxury Lanes bowling alley, or the AMC Theater. Keep in mind that many other guests will have the same idea and these can often become quite crowded and congested on rainy days.

Personally, I actually enjoy spending time in the parks when the rain comes since crowds thin out. We grab our ponchos and keep an open mind and try not to let the pesky raindrops ruin our fun! Some of my fondest silly memories are donning a rain poncho and turning into a kid again, splashing in puddles and not taking myself so seriously!

However you decide to spend your soggy days at Walt Disney World, remember to have fun and cherish the memories.
