    hi. I have been to Rainforest Cafes in other cities. is the Rainforest Cafe in AK the same as those? or is the one at AK special for WDW? if is the same, , then i would like to try a new experience somewhere else, any suggestions for AK ?

    Hi Lisa!

    The Rainforest Cafe located in Downtown Disney Market Place and Animal Kingdom, is really the same as other locations that I have dined.  The only difference is that the location in Animal Kingdom offers breakfast where some of the other national locations do not have that option.  I really like dining at Rainforest Cafe, but if you have already tried this dining experience I would suggest doing something different.  
    There aren't too many table service restaurants in Animal Kingdom, but my family loves Yak and Yeti.  Most of the food here is Asian inspired and even some of my picky eaters can find something that they find tasty.  Another good option is to check out Tusker House, this restaurant is a buffet that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Breakfast and Lunch is a character meal featuring Donald Duck with his friends Daisy, Goofy and Mickey.  
    I wouldn't rule out some of the counter service restaurants at Animal Kingdom.  Restaurantosaurus is a fun restaurant with a great theme and the food here is very good as well.  You will find food such as burgers here, but there are also some nice surprises such as the shrimp poboys and everything is done really well.
    Since Animal Kingdom closes earlier than the other parks, it is a great time to try dinner at another resort.  Boma, located in Animal Kingdom Lodge, is a buffet that features African cuisine.  The food here is very tasty and offers one of my favorite desserts, the Zebra Domes.  If you are wanting to keep to an animal theme, you might want to consider dining at TREX located in Downtown Disney.  This is very similar to Rainforest Cafe, but instead of thunderstorms be on the look out for meteor showers.
