Hello Chalonda,
Thanks for stopping by
planDisney with your question. Whether you'll be traveling next week, next year, or someday, it's always fun to dream of your next
Walt Disney World visit.
Walt Disney World parks are open rain or shine. Except possibly in
hurricane situations, I've found there aren't usually credits issued for rainy days.
Most of the time you'll experience the Florida sunshine during your vacation, but occasionally guests need to be prepared for liquid sunshine (also known as downpours). Not too many days are complete wash outs, but you will likely encounter a thunderstorm or two, especially in the afternoons. Make sure you pack a poncho or an umbrella so you'll be prepared. In some cases you may find that the crowds thin out a bit, and you may actually be able to ride more attractions.
You'll be pleasantly surprised when you realize that most attractions are indoors. This is good not only when it rains, but for escaping the Florida heat on sunny days as well. If you are in
Magic Kingdom on a rainy day you'll get to see the Rainy Day Cavalcade -- a special, short parade that only happens when it rains.
Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!
Diane
