Hiya, Jennifer!
What can I say except you're welcome here at planDisney! Thank you so much for bringing your question to us. Jennifer, our family loves
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon. Flippin' our fins at this fun water park and enjoying the Hawaiian roller coaster ride in the
Surf Pool are some of our favorite ways to spend one of our off-park days.
Jennifer, at this time of year, rain showers are very common and often arrive daily in Florida. Typhoon Lagoon generally does not close for rain, even if it is heavy. The good news is that Guests can usually continue to enjoy pools and slides in the rain, as long as there isn't lightning in the area. If there is, Guests will be asked to exit all water areas. If the weather is severe, Guests may remain in the park until the danger has passed and the all-clear is given to return to the water. Often this is a good time to visit
Singapore Sal's. As often people do leave the water park, my recommendation is to stay if you can (as long as Guests are permitted to remain in the park and if it's safe to do so.) This is because if the weather passes, you may find shorter wait times for the water slides once permitted to return.
If the water park is closed, then all Guests will have to exit the park. In this case, depending on the time of day it is closed, Guest Services determines if a rain check is offered. You can certainly check with Guest Services at the water park, should this happen, to inquire.
I hope this helps you, Jennifer! If you have any further Disney vacation planning questions, stop back and see us and we will be so happy to help you!
Magically Yours,
Keri
