Rain gear while waiting in line? What happens during a thunderstorm?

    Hi Tom!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Mom's Panel. Your question is a good one especially because of the unpredictable weather that often comes through central Florida. Keep in mind that many waiting areas at Walt Disney World are indoors and many that aren't are still somewhat protected from the weather. Just in case you end up outside in a line, though, I would highly recommend that you either pack plastic ponchos you can purchase from the camping section of your local department store before leaving home or purchase one in the Parks after you arrive. I like to carry one in my bag for each family member so if we end up being surprised by rain, we are ready for it. Whatever kid of weather you encounter on your Walt Disney World trip, do not worry. You will have a wonderful time--rain or shine!

I hope this helps you. Please let us know if we can do anything else to assist with your planning. Have a great day!
