With the Rain Forest and T Rex on the dining plan but not taking reservations is there another way to set one up? And the other question I have is this...We will be staying at POR, my 18 year son and myself, is it possiable to request an updated room?

    Hi Donald!

To make reservations, you can book online or call (407) WDW-DINE.  These restaurants are recent additions to the Disney Dining Plan and some guests have reported a problem trying to make a reservation online; if it doesn't work for you, be sure to call!  If you have a party of 9 or more, please contact the restaurant directly at (407) 827-8500.  Young guests absolutely love both restaurants, so have a fabulous time!

With regards to Port Orleans Riverside, you can absolutely request a recently refurbished room.  Just put that in your room request when you make a reservation.  You can also call the hotel directly about 3 days before check-in and add that request to your reservation.  Finally, you can even make the request once you are at Port Orleans and checking-in.  However, I think the best option is calling about 3 days before check-in.

Port Orleans Riverside is my favorite Disney Moderate Resort.  I think you made an excellent choice.  Be sure to take the boat to Downtown Disney one night.  It is a very fun and relaxing trip, especially at night.  In fact, you can take the boat to your meals at the Rain Forrest Cafe and T-Rex.

Enjoy planning your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and write back if you have any more questions!
