I am racing in the Tower of Terror 10 miler but since the race is at night I am not quite sure what to do during the day leading up to the race, should I go the park or just stay at the hotel and rest up?

    Hi Stacey!

Well, this is a great question and a tough one to answer!

The runner in me says, "Take it easy during the day, hydrate, and rest your legs".  The Disney lover in me says "GO TO THE PARKS AND PLAY"!!

So, it's kind of a toss-up.  If you are trying to set a PR on your race, then you may want to take it easy.  But, if you are there for the fun, then by all means, go to the parks.

Either way, I would recommend trying to fit in a late afternoon nap.  I try to sleep from around 4-6, and then start getting my nutrition in before heading to the start area around 8.  Keep in mind that you will get to play at Hollywood Studios after the race, too, so don't overdo any daytime fun.

Also, be sure and watch your diet and water intake.  If you do decide to play at the parks, keep a bottle of water with you and avoid any food that may upset your stomach later.

If you want to do something, but not the parks, then a leisurely stroll around Downtown Disney is always a fun idea, too.

Sorry I can't tell you an exact answer, but I hope it helps a little!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
