I have been in some races where walking is frowned upon by other runners. What are the Disney races like? Since Galloway recommends run/walk are there a lot that do it?

Great question!  This is actually one of the things that I love most about runDisney races.  All runners, walkers, and run/walkers will feel totally at ease and welcome at Disney races.   I have started in about all of the corrals (except A) and have never felt "frowned upon" when my little beeper goes off and I stop for my walk break.

Jeff Galloway has played a huge role in making running more accessible and feasible to a larger crowd.  The run/walk method has been so important to me.  I actually get faster times when I use it than when I attempt to run the entire race.  I can't say enough great things about it!

You will feel right at home running and walking the runDisney races.  There are a lot of people who fast-walk the entire race.  And that is perfectly OK too!

Please let me know if you have any other questions about runDisney!
