Hi, Yolanda, and a very warm welcome to planDisney! I'm so excited you have a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth coming up soon. The end of January is one of my favorite times of year to visit Disneyland (Cooler weather!
Lunar New Year!) and was actually when we took our two young boys for the very first time. It was such a magical visit, and I have no doubt will be your experience, as well.
Thank you for asking this great question, Yolanda. I spoke with a friendly Cast Member who confirmed that a cane-chair mobility aid, like the one you've described, is fine to have with you in the theme parks. I hope that puts your mind at ease and provides you some comfort while you enjoy Disneyland!
If standing for long periods of time is difficult, Yolanda, you may want to zip past those standby lines on popular attractions by utilizing
Lightning Lanes throughout the day. Tip: Make sure you are reserving a return time for an attraction every two hours or after you've scanned in for your Lightning Lane, whichever comes first. This way you'll be maximizing your Lightning Lane Multi Pass and experiencing more on your Disneyland day.
In addition to Lightning Lanes, the best strategy to avoid lines, in my experience, has been getting an early start to the day. The first few hours the park is open are ideal for lower crowds and lower waits for attractions. I recommend arriving to the main gates at least 45 minutes before official park opening time, if you can - which will likely be 8am but double check the
Hours & Events Calendar for your particular park dates as your visit approaches.
I hope I was able to provide some helpful information for you, Yolanda! As you continue to prepare for your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth, please don't hesitate to come back and
ask us another question! We'd love to share more of our tips and recommendations for a truly magical time in Disneyland.
See you real soon!
Warmest wishes,
McCayla
