Hi there, we have quite a few dining/charecter breakfast reservations for our holiday in august, we're staying at the AKL and wondered is it difficult to get to places such as contempory, fort wilderness and polynesian or would be better just to get a cab ?

    Hi Nigel,

We too always make a number of early morning dining reservations for character breakfasts and have never had any problem using Disney's complimentary transportation to get us there from any of the resorts which we have stayed in on site.

For all of the resorts which you have mentioned in your question, your best bet would be to firstly take a bus from your resort to the Magic Kingdom and then from there you have a number of options:-

For the Contemporary Resort you could either take a short stroll over or take the monorail
For the Polynesian Resort you would take the monorail
For Fort Wilderness you would take the boat

I would explain the situation to a Cast Member at Guest Services at your resort the day before your reservation for confirmation that buses will be running early enough for you to get there in time. I would suggest that you be at the bus stop at your resort one hour prior to your dining reservation.

It will obviously be a lot quicker to take a cab directly from your resort and they are very easy to organise should you prefer to take this option.

    Wishing you a magical holiday!
