With a Quick-Service Dining Plan, can my teenagers use their MagicBand to get a snack or meal without me needing me to be present?

Howdy, fellow Hoosier! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You made a great decision by purchasing the Disney Dining Plan. You are absolutely right, your teens can scan their Magic Band to redeem a Quick-Service meal or Snack without you being present. Your party does not have to be together to enjoy the convenience that the Disney Dining Plan has to offer. I found this to be extremely helpful during my last vacation. I brought my mother and son to the parks in August and we were not together for most of our stay. My mother is older and has a hard time keeping up with me when in the parks, so she usually relaxes at our resort while my son and I go explore. We dined together for our Table Service meals, but went our separate ways for the remainder of the day. This allowed both of us to enjoy our vacation without having to 'slow down' or 'keep up'.

I hope this help, and please feel free to come by with any more questions that you may have.

Have a magical Walt Disney World vacation, Jill!

We love all things Disney and when we aren’t watching Disney films or planning our next vacation, we love to go to touring Disney shows. I also love to cook, listen to music, read books, and paint. With my experience planning vacations and navigating the parks from a single parent’s perspective, I hope to be able to add a little “pixie dust” to your vacation! Learn More About Sarah
