Hello! And welcome to planDisney!
I can see you are just a few days away from the magic - you must be getting so excited! Being the planner of a large group, you've come to the right place. I guarantee that my panelist pals and I are usually the leader of the club when it comes to Disney trips!
Generally speaking with a large group, it makes for a smooth day when each Guest has access to their
ticket, which will allow them to enter and exit the parks on their own and make plans for themselves if they decide to part ways. If you have added
Lightning Lane Multi Pass to your tickets, I'd also recommend that at least one (or maybe a few designated leaders!) link all of the tickets to their accounts. When you book Lightning Lanes, you choose a return time and will be able to select who you are booking for based on the tickets linked to your account. You will not make this first selection until you have scanned into the gates, so you have time to get all your Disneyland ducks in a row!
The good news is that it's very easy to link tickets in the
Disneyland Mobile App, especially once you are all in person. Even if you aren't able to link ahead of your visit, it will just take a minute or two once you are together. I'll walk you through those steps!
- First things first, you'll want to ensure everyone has downloaded the Disneyland App, created their account, and logged in.
- In the app, head to the hamburger icon in the bottom right-hand corner and select "My Tickets & Passes". Here you will see any tickets linked to your account by scrolling to the left.
- Tap the "+" in the top right-hand corner, followed by "Link Tickets & Passes".
- Here, you have a few options depending on whether you are physically together. If you are hoping to link ahead of your trip, go to "Type ID". Here, you or your other party members will manually type in a ticket ID number which is found either in the purchase email confirmation or underneath the barcode on the ticket in the app. In other words, if you have all the tickets in your app, you could share each individual ID number with your friends and family for them to type in manually. My friends and I usually link as soon as we meet up with each other at the parks. With this method, you would select "Camera" or "Tap". With "Camera", the Guest needing the ticket would tap the "Open Camera" button and simply scan the barcode of the ticket they need. With "Tap", you guessed it, it's a quick tap of the MagicBand+. Repeat these steps to continue to link tickets to any one account.
I know that was a lot of instruction, but I promise it's all fairly intuitive and your fingers will follow along. Each person can link up to 10 tickets. If your group is larger than this, you might designate two main leaders who each are linked to half the group. When you go to make a Lightning Lane selection, do it at the same time. In most cases, you will receive the same return window or one that is just slightly off by 5 or 10 minutes. If you have any issues linking, head to Guest Services and the Cast Members there will be happy to help you!
I hope we've set you up for a successful visit! Don't forget that with Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you also have unlimited access to digital downloads of all the PhotoPass photos taken during your park day. There's no better way to capture the moment! If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at

Magic awaits!
