What is the quickest way to travel from Magic Kingdom to Animal Kingdom? Are buses the only way?

    Hi there, Kristi!

We are so glad you stopped by with your question! Like you, I'm always trying to figure out the best and quickest routes when navigating my family's way around the Walt Disney World Resort, and love that transportation is complimentary via buses, boats, and the monorail system. Even when we drive our car, we like to let the wonderful Cast Members transport us around the resort area. It takes a lot of the stress out of vacation when you don't have to drive!

Kristi, your question made me smile because it brought up a fun memory from one of my most recent trips. I had planned our last day to be spent at Magic Kingdom but scored an afternoon FastPass for Avatar Flight of Passage at Disney's Animal Kingdom. We had a flight to catch that evening, so we needed to maximize time and our transportation method. We chose to book the Disney Minnie Van Service because of its ease and convenience. Minnie Van pick-up at the Magic Kingdom is near the bus drop off area, so we requested a Minnie Van via the Lyft app as we were exiting the gates and waited about five minutes for it to arrive. Although brief, we enjoyed our conversation with the driver and pulled into the drop-off area at Disney's Animal Kingdom in less than 20 minutes. We easily made our FastPass+ reservation and ended our magical vacation flying over Pandora on the back of a banshee! Although the Disney Minnie Van Service is an additional fee, it was the quickest way between these two theme parks.

Thank you for sending in your question, Kristi! Please let us know if you think of anything else.
