Going for a quick weekend getaway! What are the must dos to see anything Christmas?? Santa?

    Greetings Christy,

I cannot think of a better place to go for a quick getaway, especially during this festive time of year. The holiday season at Walt Disney World is full of special events, lavishly amazing decorations and some of the most scrumptious treats.

My absolute favorite thing to do during the holidays at Walt Disney World is to visit many of the resort hotels to see their stunning and themed decorations. Some of the resorts have these fantastic gingerbread displays. You will smell the sweet and spicy scents from the moment you walk in. You can even buy special gingerbread treats at these displays, as well, to satisfy the sweet tooth after your mouth waters just seeing these delightful structures.

Over at Epcot, the Holidays Around the World is a fun way to immerse yourself into the various holiday traditions from around the globe. There are storytellers such as La Befana in Italy, Father Christmas in United Kingdom, and Pere Noel in France. You will also find some delicious holiday offerings such as the Feast of the Three Kings and more.

Lastly, Santa Claus can be found at many locations throughout the parks. Take a look at the link that has a fun video telling you exactly where to find him. I love visiting him on Main Street, USA, in Magic Kingdom, but there are other fun places to choose from depending on where you are.

    Happy Holidays,
    ~Allison L
