If you are going to a quick service restaurant, are all entrees included in the dining plan? Do you order the included dessert and beverage separately or does that become a snack credit?

    Welcome to planDisney, Danease!

Now relax, let us pull up a chair as planDisney proudly presents your answer. Before I do that, let me take this time to applaud your decision to add a Dining Plan to your visit. It’s truly the best and a family favorite. We joke that it’s the dining plan that won my husband over. As long as we have the dining plan, my husband is in for visits year after year.

What you’ll want to do is let the Cast Member know when you are ordering that you will be using a dining plan. In my experience, almost all entrees have been included at Quick-Service locations. One way to double-check is by typing the name of the restaurant you want to dine at into your My Disney Experience mobile app search bar. Once you open up the restaurant, you can see which dining plans are accepted at that location by selecting the ‘Accepted Dining Plans’ drop-down menu. As long as you see “Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan” listed below, you’re good to go.

Danease, keep in mind that the Quick-Service dining plan includes: 2 Quick-Service meals per night of stay, 1 snack or nonalcoholic beverage per night of stay, and 1 resort refillable mug. While your meals do not include a dessert, they do come with a beverage, so one credit includes a meal and drink. If you add a dessert, the dessert or other treat will be counted as a snack credit. So keep that in mind when ordering.

I personally like to visually watch my credits, so I usually just order by mobile order. On the app, when you are about to check out, instead of a total price as a cost, you will see the amount of credits you are about to spend. For me, that’s an easier way to keep my credits accounted for and make sure we aren’t using a credit we don’t want to use at that moment. Especially since sometimes we plan on sharing a meal, or if one person in our group only wants to use a snack credit. It’s just easier for me to see the total charge that way.

Hakuna Matata though, Danease. You can also find your remaining credit balance at the bottom of your receipt when you don’t mobile order. Honestly, managing your credits is so easy! And if you have any questions when ordering, just ask. The Cast Member taking your order will be happy to help answer your questions and help you understand your dining plan. Until then, if you have any other questions before you arrive, you know where to find us.

    Enjoy,

    Shantel
