What does a quick service meal mean, and how readily available are they? We have 4 children and opted for the 2 snacks and 2 quick service meals a day when we go in June. I think this will work out best for the kids, two of which are picky eaters.

    Hi Georgette!

I have one picky eater in my family (my son), so I know how it can be sometimes finding the "right" food they'll enjoy...

A Quick Service is basically "check-in/check-out" service. There's no waiter or waitress involved. You just get a menu, choose the items you want, place the order (which they normally give you a pager), then pay at checkout. Generally within 5-7 minutes your pager goes off, and you pick up your order. The menu selections are normally smaller than table service, but the process to get your food (and leave) should be much quicker.

Quick services are normally a little cheaper than table service, and easier to take your food "to go" if that picky eater gets fussy :-) At the table service, you have to ask and wait for a take-out box, and/or ask and wait for your check. Which, in some cases, is the same length of time it took to eat the food.

Click here for the Quick Service Dining Plan. To the right is a PDF, which will list all the Quick Service restaurants across the parks and resorts.

Good luck on all your Disney planning!
