Hi There, We have quick service dining plan for our stay in September. Can I use a meal credit to get an entree and drink at food and wine booths or are these considered as snacks?

    Hi Claire-Louise!

Welcome to planDisney!  The EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival is my favorite festival of the year.  My husband and I love tasting our way around the world and I’m sure you’ll find a few new items and beverages that you enjoy as well!

Claire-Louise, the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan gives each member of your travel party two Quick-Service meals and one snack (or non-alcoholic beverage) per night of your stay plus a Resort-Refillable Mug that can be used throughout your vacation.  Unfortunately, you cannot make a “meal” from the offerings at the festival booths, but you should find some items available at them that will count as “snacks” on your dining plan.  I recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog in the coming days and weeks as they usually release a Foodie Guide which may provide more details about what you can find around EPCOT during the festival.  Also, you can always grab a Festival Passport when you arrive in EPCOT and take a look at the menus available at each booth.  Any items eligible as snacks on the dining plans will have a purple and white dining plan logo next to them!

While your meals and snacks are allotted per night, you can actually use them whenever you want on your trip.  I suggest saving your snacks to use around the festival if possible.  We often find that we don’t eat a “meal” when we’re in EPCOT enjoying everything available at the booths so you can save your Quick-Service meals from that day to use on other days of your trip and maybe use more than one snack instead.  You can easily keep track of your remaining meals and snacks in your My Disney Experience Mobile App.

Claire-Louise, I hope this information helps you prepare for your visit to Walt Disney World Resort next month and that you enjoy a wonderful time!  Don't forget to also check out the Eat to the Beat Concert Series when you're visiting EPCOT.  It's a great way to end the evening!

    Cheers,
