quick service dining plan. I remember hearingthat you could trade a quick service meal credit for some snack credits. How does the dining plan work exactly like I get X amount of dining points for my stay and I can use them how I wish or is it regulated?

Hey there Amber thanks for stopping by planDisney. We will be happy to help with all the questions regarding the return of this great value.

The return of the Disney Dining Plan is upon us and is available for arrivals on or after January 9, 2024. You can add this to your stay at a Disney Resort Collection Hotels when you book your stay. Or you can make changes to an existing reservation. When it comes to options there are two available Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan and Disney Dining Plan. Unfortunately, neither of those plan benefits can be broken down from the meals into snacks or vice versa. The Quick-Service Dining Plan offers 2 quick-service meals and 1 snack per night of stay. And one resort-refillable mug for the length of your stay. The Disney Dining Plan includes 1 Quick-Service Meal, 1 Table-Sevice Meal, and 1 snack per night of stay. And also one resort-refillable mug for the length of your stay. You can use these however you would like and in whatever order you would like, the remaining meals or snacks roll over to the next day until the last day of your visit.

Some of my favorite snacks double as a meal so be on the lookout for giant-sized snacks like the warm cinnamon roll inside of Gaston’s Tavern. When you visit Magic Kingdom Park this place has all the good snacks including this above average roll. This is not your typical cinnamon roll you make at home from that tube thingy, this was almost the size of my daughter's head and we shared it for breakfast. This is a classic example of using your credits to maximize what you get. Another one is to buy a refillable popcorn bucket and pay money for the refills. If you use a snack credit for the refill you could be missing out on using it for a more expensive snack later on. I personally do not like to slow down while visiting the parks so I would use the quick-service options to keep moving and on days when I’m not visiting the parks use the table-service for those relaxing pool days where you can go get ready for a nice sit-down meal.

I hope this information is helpful when planning your meals and that your trip is wonderful. We know you will be well-fed either way if you decide on using the Disney Dining Plan.

    Have a magical day,
