We will have the quick service dining plan on our next visit. We were wondering if we can pay separately for a food item, such as a pastry for breakfast, instead of using a snack credit for it? That way,we can use the snack credit later in the day? Thanks.

    Hi Vincent,

Sure thing!  After you have made all of your quick service meal or snack selections, simply inform the Cast Member at the checkout which items you will be using your Disney Quick Service Dining Plan credits and which items you will be paying cash.  With the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan you may use your meal and snack credits in any order that you wish.  Although your meal and snack credit entitlements are calculated based upon the number of nights of your Disney Resort hotel reservation, you may redeem them in any order from the moment you are checked in until midnight the day of your check out.  Here's a tip:  If you discover on your last day you have unused snack credits you can redeem them for prepackaged snacks, such as Mickey rice crispy treat, and take back home with you.

My kids have a tradition of enjoying turkey legs during our vacations at Walt Disney World.  Since turkey legs usually aren't an option for a snack credit, I usually pay cash for them and use our snack credits for other items.  I know it's strange but I really do have a turkey leg budget for our vacations!

Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your delicious question Vincent.  Please let me know if you have any further Disney vacation planning questions.

    Blessings,
