Is the quick service dining plan a good deal for 2 adults? Are you limited to certain menu items? I know the dining plan is free now but, my current reservation is $229 cheaper (w/o the DP). We are trying to save as much money as possible.

    Hi DeShawn!

I think that the dining plans offer a great value, but you'll probably need to sit down and do some math of your own to see if it is 'worth it' for you.

You can usually figure about $12-$15 per person for a quick service meal (including entree, beverage, and dessert), so  then you'll need to multiply that by 2 times per day and by how many days your staying, AND THEN add in the 2 snacks per day per person.  Snacks (factor $2-$4 per snack) If that number is less than $229, then I'd stick without it.  If not, I'd go with the plan, as it typically offers more food (keep in mind that it also includes 2 snacks per day AND the fabulous refillable resort mug).

So...doing some quick math here, let's say yo maxed out and spent $15 on lunch, and $15 on dinner, and spent $4 on a snack and $3 on a snack each day.  That would bring your total to $37/day PER person.  $37 x 2=$74/day.  Let's say you're staying a typical 6 nights...so that would be  $444.00 spent on food (and this total does NOT include the refillable resort mugs).

Now, you need to keep in mind that you'll be able to control your costs more if you order wisely.  The scenario above was a direct comparison..directly comparing out-of-pocket costs with what the plan offers, but you can keep costs down by NOT ordering dessert at each meal, and keeping snacks down to 1 every couple of days--just depends on your vacation dining habits.

You are able to order off of the 'regular' menu, but remember alcoholic beverages are not included.

    Have a magical vacation!
