Is the quick service dining plan cheaper than if you just purchase a meal? I am trying to evaluate the perks of staying on property.

    Hi Tammy!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I love using the Disney Dining Plan and really enjoy the flexibility, convenience and value that it offers.  If you purchase a Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan, you will receive - per guest, per night of your stay - two Quick-Service Meals (including a non-alcoholic beverage with your meal, or an alcoholic beverage if over 21 years of age), two Snacks and a refillable mug.   The Quick-Service Meals can be taken at any of these restaurants, and no reservations are required.  If you click on a restaurant you can see all the available menus and prices.   A Quick-Service meal includes one Entree, and one Beverage.  A Snack can be anything from a drink or popcorn, to a cupcake, ice cream or fresh fruit.  Your Refillable Mug can be used for the length of your stay for unlimited tea, coffee and sodas, across all the Walt Disney World Resort hotels.   Your chosen dining plan can be used from the time of check-in (if you check-in online, you can use it from 7.00am on the day of arrival), until midnight on your departure day.  I always find the dining plan offers great savings, and if you look at the menus, you can decide if it will work for you.

Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions.  We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World.
