We will have the quick service dining plan with 2 adults and 3 kids. If we want to eat at a restaurant that doesn't have a kids menu, like Fairfax Fare, are our kids allowed to use their dining credits and order from the normal menu?

    Hi Jeff!
    Welcome to planDisney.

We are so excited to see the long-awaited return of the Disney dining plans as they are such a smart way to budget for our trips, knowing that all (or most!) of our food and drink is taken care of.

When using your Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan, at a restaurant that does not offer a separate Kids Menu (such as Fairfax Fare at Disney's Hollywood Studios) then yes, your children may choose from the main menu.  If there is a Kids Menu available, all guests aged 3-9 must order from that.

With the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan, you will receive, per person, per night of stay, 2 Quick-Service Meals;  1 snack, and 1 Resort Refillable Mug.  You are also entitled to one drink per meal - non-alcoholic for Guests under the age of 21; or additionally for those Guests over 21 you can select wine, beer or a cocktail with each meal.

The dining plans are so flexible - you can use your dining credits in any way you choose - maybe more snacks on some days than others, for example.  You can track your remaining meals on your My Disney Experience app - go to "My Resort Stay", and then "Check Dining Plan" - you will see the total balance remaining.  You will also see your balance on any dining receipt.  Your dining plan does not expire until midnight on the day you check out of your Disney Resort hotel, so if you have a late departure planned, ensure you save some of your meals or snacks for your last day.

Quick-service locations do not require prior reservations, so you can be more spontaneous and stop by these restaurants to use your dining credits at any time (subject to availability in the restaurant).  You have a huge choice of eateries, across the theme parks, Disney Resort hotels, and Disney Springs.

Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions, and you can also send me a direct question if you wish.  We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation, and keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for all the latest official news on events that may be happening during your stay.
