Jambo, Deborah!
Welcome Home and Asante Sana (that means "thank you very much" in Swahili) for stopping by planDisney with your question. Deborah, our family loves staying at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge - Kidani Villas and
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House, as both remind us of one of our favorite trips which was a safari to Kenya and Tanzania. You are truly immersed in the animal kingdom and feel like you are transported to a safari lodge, while surrounded by the magic of Disney. Watching the animals free to roam around all day in the savannah is a wonderful way to enjoy the sun rolling high over the sapphire sky. There's more to see than can ever be seen and more to do than can ever be done at both of these resorts, Deborah!
There are quick-service watering holes at both the Kidani Villas and Jambo House locations. At Kidani Village,
Sanaa offers 2 distinct dining experiences:
- A Kuamsha Breakfast, which is a casual quick-service offering that does not require reservations.
- A table-service experience for lunch and dinner, featuring African cooking with Indian flavors (advance reservations are highly recommended).
At Jambo House, you can feast on a quick service breakfast at the
Mara. This is more of a cafeteria-style experience, where you select which hot meals you would like to start your day or opt for grab-and-go-grub from the selection of cereals, yogurts, etc. This is my family's favorite watering hole for breakfast, but I do recommend grabbing a reservation at Sanaa for one meal during your stay. It's a dining feast experience fit for a king.
The two resorts are just a short 10-minute stroll from each other, so you can decide which one is better for you so your tummies don't roar.
I hope this helps you, Deborah. If you have any further questions, circle back here to see me and I'll be so glad to help you.
Happy Trekking,
Keri
