Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sharon!
My family loves the Disney Dining Plan. We love being able to try lots of snacks, we love the option of ordering specialty drinks (including beer, wine, or cocktails for those of us over 21), and we love taking the time to sit down, relax, and share some laughs in the midst of all the theme park excitement.
On the
Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan, each Guest in your party who is 3 or older will receive a Resort Refillable Mug, which can be refilled at resort Quick-Service dining locations, plus two snacks and two Quick-Service meals for each night of your stay. Those Quick-Service Meals include one entrée, and one drink.
You should be able to substitute any item that counts as a snack on the Disney Dining Plan for your drink. Just look for the purple "DDP" logo beside those items (and I've seen lots of dessert items classified as snacks). Just let the Cast Member at the register know you'd like to make the substitution, and you should be all set - but please note that substitutions are at the Cast Member's discretion. Some locations have different workflows and may not allow substitutions, so my advice is to be flexible. If substitutions aren't allowed, you can always grab a bottle of water or other bottled drink to take into the parks or stash in your resort refrigerator.
Sharon, did you know that
Mobile Ordering is now available for many of the theme park Quick Service locations? I love using Mobile Order to pick up my favorite Walt Disney World Resort snack – the Dole Whip – at Aloha Isle. Fast
and delicious – that’s as close to magic as it gets, right?!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
