    quick question regarding the princess half marathon! we are coming to wdw for our 2nd family vaca feb 24th. i learned that the princess marathon is the 1st wknd we are there! will this cause an increase in crowds? avoiding mk on sunday going to hs instead!

    Thank you so much for you question!  First of all, crowd levels are generally pretty low that time of year, so marathoners coming in for the race should have minimal impact on your vacation.  Don't get me wrong, you'll likely notice an increase, but it will be very manageable.

    The biggest issue with the day of the marathon is the traffic.  Many roads are used for the race, and traffic can come to a standstill in some areas while it clears of runners.  Make sure you allow yourself at least an extra hour to get around on Marathon Day.
