Ahoy, Donnie! Welcome to planDisney, where we aim to answer all of your questions about where magic meets the sea.
In today’s modern world, everyone has got gadgets and gizmos a-plenty, so I understand wanting to make sure that your whozits and whatzits galore will be safely charging aboard Disney Cruise Line. The good news is that no matter how many thingamabobs you need to charge, you do have options. Each
stateroom is equipped with a number of electrical outlets and USB-A charging ports, but you are also allowed to bring USB charging hubs as long as they do not include any prohibited features. The
list of prohibited items includes: “extension cords, power strips, multi-plugs, and surge protectors.” If you are bringing a standard USB charging hub that plugs into one electrical outlet and only allows you to plug in other items via USB-A or USB-C charging cords, you should not have any problems at all. I recommend bringing one hub that you can set up on the desk in your stateroom and a number of long charging cables, so that you can use your electronic devices even when they need to be charged.
That being said, please keep in mind that the safety of all guests is the number one priority, so Disney Cruise Line always reserves the right to seize and secure any item deemed to be dangerous or pose a security or safety risk. If any restricted or prohibited items are found within your baggage during the security screening process, then they will be confiscated and can result in a delay of your luggage delivery until late evening on embarkation day. You can usually retrieve your confiscated items after you disembark from your sailing, so speak to the
Guest Services desk should you run into this situation.
If you have any other questions at all about your upcoming sailing, then you are always welcome here at planDisney. You can also check the
official packing lists for tips on what to bring with you onboard. Happy sailing!
