Hiya Jasmin,
Welcome to planDisney! I have a confession to make: This year will be my very first
Oogie Boogie Bash, and I cannot wait to make a scene! I've already started planning my family Halloween costume for the event.
Speaking of costumes, what a great question, Jasmin. Even during special events like Oogie Boogie Bash, there are still
guidelines for costumes. I double-checked the guidelines, and while face paint is not explicitly listed as prohibited, there is a note about face masks and coverings. Guests over 14 years old are not allowed to wear face masks (unless for a medical reason). Cast Members at security reserve the right to determine if your face paint is acceptable; however, even though it is not explicitly stated, it may still be prohibited. From what I've gleaned from research, the more the paint conceals your face, the less acceptable it will be. I suggest having a plan B, especially if the face paint is essential to your costume.
I hope this was helpful, Jasmin. Before I let you go, don't forget that with your event ticket, you can enter Disney California Adventure Park at 3 pm, which will give you plenty of time to enjoy the park. We are planning to use that extra time to ride
Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark and enjoy an early dinner. I hope you have a blast at the party, and please don't hesitate to come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
