Quick question. What's the best way to get to Fort Wilderness from Coronado Springs in the morning? And if we're there for the evening, how late can we stay before we can't take any Disney transportation back to Coronado? Thanks!

Hi Ruben! I love answering your Fort Wilderness questions and hope I am helping you with your plans!

Getting from resort to resort is probably the most challenging part of your Disney vacation. There is no direct transportation so you will need to consider hopping on a bus to a park and then transferring there to a Fort Wilderness bus. If you are attempting to get there for an early dining reservation then be sure you pick the park that opens early that day. Buses to parks begin an hour before opening. Once you arrive by bus to Fort Wilderness you will then need to hop on an internal bus that will take about 15 minutes to get to the Pioneer Hall area. If you choose to head to the Magic Kingdom park via your resort bus then you need to walk to the entrance where you will see signs for the Fort Wilderness boat. This begins about 30 minutes before park opening but it will drop you off at the Pioneer Hall so no internal bus is needed.

To be honest when trying to get to a resort in the mornings I always suggest you spend the $20 or less and use a taxi cab. You can have your resort call for one or simply call for one yourself. The number is 407-422-2222. Taxis can only take you to the front of the Fort Wilderness Resort so you need to add time to get on the internal bus. It is all simple but you need to budget your time accordingly.

To return to your resort at night you simply head to a park via bus or boat (Magic Kingdom) and transfer to your resort bus. Note the park hours for that day so you are heading to a park that still has transportation running. Buses run for at least an hour after park closing.  If you are dining at Hoop Dee Doo they also have buses going directly from Pioneer Hall to the resorts after the second and third seatings.
