Hello! Quick dining question. WIll the servers know what im talking about when I ask if a meal is pescetarian or not?

    Hi Kim!

I would say that most of the servers in the table service restaurants will know that 'pescetarian' or the other spelling 'pescatarian' is someone whose diet includes seafood, but excludes mammals and birds.  Even if the Cast Member isn't sure what you mean, once you let them know they will do everything they can to make you happy!  I've been in Disney restaurants before where the head Chef comes out to speak with the Guest about dietary concerns.

One of the wonderful things about dining in Disney World is how committed they are to offering a wide range of food choices.  If you are worried about certain ingredients at a restaurant or if you want to make sure they have a food option to fit your eating style, calling 407-WDW-DINE to speak with a Cast Member with concerns or requests.  A lot of the restaurants are able to get salmon in with advance notice.

Here is a great link to Disney's Guest Services page on Special Dietary Requests.

Thanks so much for visiting with us here at Disney Moms Panel!
