2 Questions.Would you recommend T Rex for children ages 3 and 5? And we have a character dinner at Chef Mickey's and a breakfast at Ohana and are staying at All Star Music. What is the easiest way for 6 people to get to both places? How expensive is a taxi?

    Hi Nikki,

If your children like dinosaurs, then T-Rex at Downtown Disney is a fun experience.  You should be aware, however, that parts of the restaurant are a bit dark, there are a few rather imposing animatronic reptiles scattered about the restaurant, and there are occasional meteor showers (you can't say that about many dining establishments), but if you think your children wouldn't be bothered by that ambience, then I believe T-Rex is a good choice.  This was one of my nephew, Jack's, favorite restaurants when he was six.  In fact, most kids seem to really enjoy the atmosphere there.

As for transportation options from Disney's All Star Music Resort to 'Ohana and Chef Mickey's, getting there can be half the fun!  I recommend you take the bus from your resort to the Magic Kingdom.  Then hop on the monorail to Disney's Contemporary Resort.  You'll be at Chef Mickey's in no time.  If you're headed to 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Resort, you can take the monorail from the Magic Kingdom or grab a boat across the Seven Seas Lagoon to your destination.  Either route is quite enjoyable.  Just be sure to leave yourself adequate time (roughly an hour) to get from start to finish.

Say "hi" to Mickey and Stitch for me!
