    hello! I have 3 questions, (1) i wanted to know the difference between magic bands, and magic bands plus. (2) are the regular magic bands still available? and (3) is there anyway i can get three magic bands for under 100 dollars? Thanks!

    Hey there, Samie!  Welcome to planDisney!

    MagicBands are my favorite Disney vacation accessory!  They make it so easy to access admission for theme park admittance, tap into Lightning Lane reservations made with Disney Genie+ service, and link Disney PhotoPass photos to a My Disney Experience account.  When staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, MagicBands can also be used to unlock the door to your hotel room and charge purchases to your room folio.

    When MagicBand+ launched earlier this year, it was big news!  Rest assured, "regular" MagicBands are still in use and available for sale in many merchandise locations throughout Walt Disney World resort and online at shopDisney.  These are known as MagicBand 2, after a redesign of the original MagicBands several years ago.  MagicBand 2 uses RFID technology as well as a long-range battery for linking on-ride Disney PhotoPass photos or other magical surprises such as being wished "Au Revoir" on "it's a small world".  MagicBand 2 should work indefinitely for any "Mickey to Mickey" touchpoints.  Long-range battery life is estimated to be about 2 years.  MagicBand+ is rechargeable and comes equipped with a charging cable.  MagicBand+ also features lights and haptic vibrations that interact with elements in the theme parks, such as nighttime spectaculars, the Disney Fab 50 Character Collection, and the Batuu Bounty Hunters game at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.  Prices for MagicBands begin at $19.99 for solid-colored MagicBand 2. (Prices are subject to change without notice.)  Annual Passholders and Guests with a stay at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel are eligible to order discounted MagicBands through their My Disney Experience account.

    Another option would be to use complimentary Disney MagicMobile service.  You can create a Disney MagicMobile pass via the My Disney Experience mobile app and save it to the digital wallet on your mobile device.  A Disney MagicMobile pass will have much of the same functionality as a MagicBand.
