Hi Cassie!
I’m so happy to hear that you are planning on taking advantage of
extra, Extra Magic Hours to explore Disney’s Hollywood Studios during your upcoming vacation!
Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be extremely popular this fall with the opening of
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge on August 29 and extra, Extra Magic Hours are the perfect way to get an early start enjoying the theme park!
Complimentary resort transportation is one of my favorite benefits of staying at the Disney Resort hotels. While exact transportation schedules aren’t published, complimentary resort transportation buses begin operating 45 minutes prior to theme park opening. This means that you can expect buses to begin running to Disney’s Hollywood Studios from your Disney Resort hotel at 5:15 a.m for mornings where Disney’s Hollywood Studios opens at 6:00 a.m. for extra, Extra Magic Hours. I recommend that you call the front desk of your hotel the day before your visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to confirm the next day’s bus schedule so you can finalize your morning itinerary.
In my experience, buses often begin running earlier to accommodate Guests with breakfast reservations prior to theme park opening, so I would expect that there will be a bus from your hotel to
Magic Kingdom for your 8:00 a.m. breakfast reservation. Again, your Disney Resort hotel front desk will be able to confirm the bus schedule for the next day so you can catch the perfect bus for your breakfast. I recommend that you allow 60-90 minutes to travel to your Magic Kingdom breakfast by bus.
To get from your Disney Resort hotel to
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort using complimentary resort buses, you will need to travel to Magic Kingdom and then transfer to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort using the resort monorail. Since you will need a transfer, I recommend that you plan on using a car service, a taxi or the
Minnie Van Service for your 8:00 a.m. breakfast at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort as the resort monorail is occasionally not running that early. I recommend that you allow 45 minutes when using a car service, taxi or Minnie Van for your transportation to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, so your morning won’t be quite as early!
Come back to see us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel if we can help you with additional questions as you continue planning. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
