It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Michael!
You're visiting Walt Disney World Resort at such an exciting time of year because you're going to be there when
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is in full swing! Main Street U.S.A. at
Magic Kingdom Park will be beautifully decorated with lush fall foliage to celebrate the season. In the past, there have been some attraction overlays at the Party, and while we haven't heard any details about that kind of thing for this year quite yet, there were some really exciting announcements made recently about some new additions coming this year.
Just a few days ago, the
Disney Parks Blog announced that
Cruella's Halloween Hide-A-Way will debut at this year's Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Guests with tickets to this new special event can enjoy a selection of snacks and hors d’oeuvres and mingle with Cruella De Vil herself at
Tony's Town Square Restaurant, which will also be specially decorated! Guests will receive reserved viewing in Town Square for the 11 p.m. Mickey's Boo-To-You Halloween Parade which is the perfect way to end the night. Also debuting this year will be a
brand new fireworks show that will use projections, lasers, and of course, fireworks to tell the story of Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy ending up at a mysterious haunted house on Halloween!
Now, to answer your second question, you might want to check your
MagicBand page in
My Disney Experience as soon as you can because I've seen some of the upgraded options being added periodically over the last few days. There were even some new ones I haven't seen before, including a Toy Story 4 themed MagicBand with Forky on it! They do still appear to be very popular, so be patient if you don't see what you want right away because, as you said, there are still several months to go before you have to finalize your decisions.
Have a magical day, Michael!
