Hi there, Sarita, and welcome back to planDisney! I'm so glad that you've chosen to trust us for all of your vacation planning questions. My fellow Panelists and I are here and happy to help you in any way we can!
Sarita, if you're into boat rides, you're in for a treat. If you choose to drive your vehicle to
Magic Kingdom Park, you'll
park at the Transportation and Ticket Center. From there, you can choose to either board the Monorail or - drumroll, please - a boat to take you across the Seven Seas Lagoon to the entrance of Magic Kingdom Park! There is no fee for the boat ride or the monorail ride from the Transportation and Ticket Center to Magic Kingdom Park. Did you know that some Disney Resorts Collection Hotels even offer boat transportation from the resort to the theme parks? For instance,
Disney's Wilderness Lodge offers a boat to transport guests directly to Magic Kingdom Park. My friend and fellow Panelist,
Sue, says it's lovely!
You can find boats throughout Walt Disney World Resort. Many attractions are powered by boats, and boats are a reliable form of
transportation between many of the resorts and theme parks. I hope you enjoy finding and riding on the various types of boats during your upcoming vacation!
As for free MagicBands, you might recall that they used to be complimentary with a Disney Resorts Collection stay, but that is no longer the case. Happily, Walt Disney World Resort Hotel guests can purchase them at a discount if they order prior to arrival. I love my new
MagicBand+ and all of the conveniences it offers, from unlocking my hotel room door, to breezing through theme park entry, to charging purchases to my account.
Sarita, I hope this answer has been helpful to you today. Please stop back by planDisney anytime with questions about your vacation!
See you real soon!
Jennifer
