Hello Ilona, and welcome back to planDisney! How exciting that your trip is coming up so soon!
Great questions here Ilona, and thinking ahead for
fireworks at
Disneyland Park is highly recommended since the crowds can get high! The seating areas up on the Main Street, U.S.A. station can have certain seating areas roped off for specific guests, but you can always ask a nearby Cast Member what areas are available for seating. I do recommend getting there at least an hour before the fireworks start, and you could even inquire during the day so you can scout out another location if needed.
I actually prefer to watch the fireworks away from the crowds and in front of
"it's a small world", it's usually less busy, there are restrooms and snacks to purchase nearby, and you do not have to arrive as early to grab a great spot. I've always heard great things about watching the fireworks from
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge as well!
The
Disneyland Railroad usually does continue to run during fireworks, however, certain wind and weather conditions may cause it to close to accommodate fireworks shows since safety of guests is the number one priority. Certain attractions in
Fantasyland will also be closed during fireworks as well.
You can always find the
entertainment schedule on the Disneyland site or the app. I hope you have a wonderful visit and get to experience the new nighttime spectacular
Wondrous Journeys during your trip Ilona!
Wishing you and your family a magical trip!
