Hi Patricia, and welcome to planDisney!
Time to do the single-digit happy dance! Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is only days away now, and it sounds like your plans have reached the "what should I pack in my Park bag?" stage. That's a sure sign that your trip is right around the corner!
So let's start with
Disney's written policy about what they don't allow us to bring into the Theme Parks. Most of the prohibited items are common sense, like weapons, fireworks, alcoholic beverages, and skateboards. But be sure to peruse the list for a few things that are not allowed that you might not think of, like loose ice, selfie sticks, and a limit on stroller sizes. If you're unsure about something, you can always send us another question, or call
Disney's Guest Relations phone number to make certain.
Now that we've touched on what you
can't bring into the Parks, let's take a quick look at what you
should bring along! First, you can bring your own water and/or sodas - which I highly recommend. It's really important to stay hydrated on our hot Florida days. (Quick tip: try not to bring a metal water bottle, as it could slow you down during the security check at the Park entrance.) You're also welcome to bring your own food! This is a really helpful one if you get a rumbly in your tumbly and it's still a few hours before your
dining reservations.
If you have
little Mouseketeers in tow, you'll want to bring their essentials, like an extra outfit, diapers, juice, snacks, etc. A small fan that clips to the stroller is also a great idea, and of course, don't forget the sunscreen!
One more thing: be sure to throw a portable charger and cable into your bag. Between capturing all those magical memories with your camera and keeping track of your plans on your
My Disney Experience app, you'll be using it a lot more than you might think!
I hope this helps you gear up for an amazing time at Walt Disney World, Patricia! For even more packing tips, along with a bunch of other info, check out
