Hi! I have 2 questions about the Beach Club pool. My kids will be 4.5 and just barely 8 on our next trip. Is Stormalong Bay too big and busy for those ages? Also, I have fears of dragging tons of sand back to the hotel room. Are there showers? Thanks!

    Hi Jessica,

Thank you for sending your question to planDisney!  Disney's Beach Club Resort is one of my absolute favourite Walt Disney World Resort Hotels, and it is largely due to the amazing pool, Stormalong Bay.

When my daughter was younger, we would choose to stay at Disney's Beach Club Resort because of Stormalong Bay.  We enjoy spending time by the pool, and because of it's size it was perfect for my daughter to roam about and splash until her heart was content.  She loved the sandy bottom as well as all of the shallow areas and when she was older loved the waterslide and lazy river.   I think your children will have a wonderful time at Stormalong Bay, there is so much to do!  As an added security feature at Stormalong Bay, when guests come to swim, a Cast Member will be there to check if you have a Resort Hotel Reservation, which helps with crowds.  I have never felt like Stormalong Bay was too busy, even when we visit during peak seasons!  If by chance the Stormalong Bay is too busy for your liking, there are several other leisure pools on property that you could enjoy for a more quiet experience.

Once you are ready to head back to your Resort Hotel room, there are showers available at Stormalong Bay for guests if needed.  My family and I like to spend our last day by the pool and use the showers prior to leaving for the airport.  The showers are equipped with basic toiletries so no need to pack extra.

I hope you have a magical time at Walt Disney World Resort, Jessica.  Please let us know if you have any other questions as your vacation approaches, we are happy to help.
