Hiya John!
Welcome to planDisney! Celebrating the holidays at Walt Disney World Resort is one of my favorite things to do. Just a few years ago, I surprised my kids with a trip to Walt Disney World that we revealed to them on Christmas Eve. We were flying out on December 26 and staying for the holiday break. The surprise and excitement were the best and we had a great time!
We were pleasantly surprised during our trip to find out that instead of the normal parades that occur year-round they were replaced with
Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas Parade.
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party was not happening for about a week at that point but the parade was still going on and regular Park guests were given a chance during this special week to enjoy it. Now, I cannot predict the future as the
Hours & Event Calendar has not been updated for that week but this is usually what occurs each year.
As your trip approaches I would check the Calendar and don't miss the parade! The Parks for sure will still be decorated with Holiday cheer and you will feel festive and bright. Make sure to take many pictures and ask the
Disney PhotoPass photographers for any seasonal Magic Shots to remember the moment!
I hope this helps and you have a magical time!
Happy Planning!
