Another question. :) When using the Rider Switch option, is there a designated place for the adult and child that is not riding to wait? Thanks!

    Hi Kathy,

You have a great question about Disney's Rider Switch Service.  In my experience of using the Rider Switch Service I have not been asked to wait in a designated area after being issued a Rider Switch pass.  Since policies and procedures do change from time to time (and from attraction to attraction), there is a possibility that you could be asked to wait in a designated area.  However unless instructed to wait in a certain area please feel free to take the child who is not riding and go explore some of the nearby magic while the rest of your group are riding the attraction.

Here is another tip when using Rider Switch pass:  Read the printed information on the pass given to you.  Typically the Rider Switch pass will specify use for the same calendar day.  This means that you may redeem your pass at any time the same day and do not have to use it immediately after the first party finishes the attraction.  I have found this quite helpful and have redeemed our Rider Switch pass many hours later on the same day in which it was issued.  There is so much magic all around you so take advantage of this flexibility and go visit a nearby attraction, shop, or even enjoy a snack while you are waiting for the rest of your group to finish.   It has also been my experience that the Rider Switch passes specify up to 3 Guests may be admitted to the attraction with it.  It is remarkable how my older children use their very best manners when they know they have a chance of riding a second time with me using my Rider Switch pass!

Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel Kathy, please let us know if you have any further vacation planning questions.

    Blessings,
