I have a question for our trip in March! It will be me, my boyfriend, and my 4 yr old daughter. If a ride seats only 2 people, can one parent switch and let the other ride with my daughter so we both get a chance to ride with her?Do rides seat more than 2?

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kelsie! Watching my son’s face and now my daughter’s face on attractions at Walt Disney World Resort is one of the highlights of trips with my family. I’m sure you both want to see her grin and smile!

Unfortunately, Rider Switch is only available for families with a non-rider. You would have to show the Cast Member at the front of the line your non-rider and get a pass. If, for instance, your daughter was too short for Rock n’ Roller Coaster, you could ride with a Rider Switch Pass while he waited with her and then swap. But I have some good news for you! Most attractions throughout the parks seat more than 2, which means you will all be able to ride together. In the rare instance of a two-seater vehicle, like SpaceShip Earth, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train or Dumbo, you will have to pull up your ride photos (be sure to sign up for Memory Maker!) or switch back and forth with your daughter. The only other option is to stand in line again, which may not be a big deal if the lines are short. My son chooses who he wants to ride with and I’ll have to say it’s a fair mix of family members in the seats.

If I can help you navigate any other vacation issues, please let me know. I’m hEAR for you! ~ Lindsey P.
