Hi, Wendy!
Congratulations on your upcoming cruise aboard the new Disney
Dream -- she's a stylish and spectacular ship, and her cast and crew are in the business of spoiling her guests!
As far as tipping your server, assistant server, head server and stateroom host/hostess, I have prepaid my gratuities, and I have charged them to my stateroom once I'm on board. To my knowledge, Cast Members are not aware of gratuities until you present them with their respective envelopes either on the last evening or last morning of your cruise. The service I have received on Disney Cruise Line has always been above my expectations (no matter how I've paid), and it would be a complete aberration if you experienced anything to the contrary. Yet, if you prepay and decide to make adjustments to your gratuities once on board, simply consult with Guest Services. You'll probably not want to wait until the last evening for this as the lines tend to get very long.
You can take a look at the
Suggested Gratuities Chart to get an idea of what is recommended. I hope that helps you plan. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
